Reporting to the Human Resources Manager at our St. Charles, MO corporate headquarters, this position will:

  • Recruitment Support
        o Recruit and screen new hires
        o Manage interview schedule
        o Preform initial interview and pass qualified candidates to the DC manager or supervisor for final interview
        o Provide constant feedback to candidates through the entire application /interviewing process.
        o Keep detailed records of hiring practices and results
        o Process all new hire paperwork
        o Maintain relationships with key 3rd party staffing agencies to fill seasonal and temporary positions
  • Provide Onboarding Support for New Hires
        o Conduct New Hire orientation and Safety Orientation
        o Manage certifications and record keeping of all training provided
  • Benefits Administration
        o Be available to answer benefits and payroll questions
        o Process WC paperwork o Conduct new hire benefits meetings
        o Act as a liaison for team member concerning issues with payroll, benefit concerns, worker's
           compensation etc.
  • Employee Relations
        o Handle and advise on employee issues
        o Manage temporary employees needs
        o Provides counsel, coaching, and mentoring
        o Help management identify and resolve issues in employee relations
        o Manage to any IPS issues
  • Risk Management & Safety
        o Provide communication between the Distribution Center's staff and the corporate HR team
        o Investigate team member concerns and/or complaints; Recommend a course of action
        o Practice good communication processes to keep members of management, supervisors and team
           members informed
  • Regulatory Compliance
        o Stay current on key federal, state and local laws and regulations
        o Wage and hour guidance
        o FMLA, ADA, EEOC, Title VII, OSHA guidance
  • Separations
        o Conduct exit interview
        o Explain COBRA and other benefits
        o Review final paycheck procedures
  • General
        o Help build and promote the DM culture, e.g., order and pickup monthly b-day cakes,
           organize BBQs, lunches and other employee events
        o Call Facilities for repairs and maintenance issues
        o Order office and breakroom supplies
        o Monitor 3rd party services e.g., cleaning, coffee, canteen services

 

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of independent HR experience
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines with multiple deliverables
  • Very strong oral and written communication skills
  • Assertive and outgoing
  • High level of reasoning and ingenuity with enhanced ability to solve complex problems
  • High level of self-motivation as this position will report to a remote Manager
