Reporting to the Director of IT, the Information Security Analyst will:

  • Update the Operating systems on all Security appliance
  • Patch all server, regardless of operating system, with appropriate Operating System patches
  • Patch all desktops/laptops, regardless of operating system, with appropriate Operating System patches
  • Ensure that all servers, regardless of operating systems, have the appropriate Anti-Virus and that it is up to date
  • Ensure that all Desktop/laptops, regardless of Operating system, have the appropriate Anti-Virus and that it is up to date
  • Ensure all devices are hardened at both the Operating System and at all application levels
  • Manage and maintain all certificates for the company
  • Maintain and ensure that all security tools are up to date and running current versions
  • Investigate and report on issues, breaches, and malicious behavior
  • Review and report on odd behavior found on the network and systems
  • Support and contribute to the company’s security posture
  • Create reports for executive review
  • Create support documentation security cases and tickets
  • Monitor various information sources (including public, private, and classified sources) for threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Accept escalation of suspected threats and vulnerabilities from multiple sources, internal and external
  • Ensure that only valid and appropriate employees have access to the network, drive, and files
  • Identify the necessary actions required to proactively mitigate the risk posed by the threats and vulnerabilities
  • Manage user training around security practices
  • Audit user permissions, ensuring that least privilege approach is being used
  • And  any other duty as assigned


  • 1-3 years of IT experience, not required to be in security
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Must be able to communicate highly technical information to non-technical audiences at all levels of the organization
  • Will need strong organizational skills
  • Must be able to work independently and in a team environment
  • Understanding of collecting and analyzing events
  • Ability to create relevant reports
  • Ability to be able to brief and effectively communicate in a concise, effective, and persuasive manner.
  • Needs to have strong problem solving skills
  • Familiarity sys-loggers
  • Understanding of securing cloud computing
